The lodge offers spacious and spotless rooms with excellent bathroom facilities. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Guests have praised the welcoming and attentive staff, as well as the delicious food and wine served at the lodge. The continental breakfast, as well as the cooked option, receive high praise. there are complimentary bikes available for guests to explore the area.
Some guests have mentioned that the twin beds in the rooms can be a bit unstable, moving around during the night.

The lodge provided us with all the necessary gear and information to enjoy a fun-filled day paddling on the crystal-clear waters. Our children, who are older than 12, absolutely loved this experience and it created unforgettable memories for our family. Highly recommended!
My children wanted more variety in the kids' menu.

We had a blast exploring the area's water adventures with kayaking and even tried our luck at rock climbing. The staff were super chill and made sure we had the best time ever. We also loved that the lodge was surrounded by nature, perfect for mountain biking. Such a rad vacation spot for us teenagers!
The only thing we'd ask for more is a happening party scene. It would have been awesome if they had a cool hangout spot where we could meet other young party-going people and have a blast together.

The rooms at Ratanui Lodge were absolutely amazing! The premium bedding and bathrobes were so cozy, making us feel like we were staying in luxury. We loved having free WiFi and a safe for our valuables. And let's not forget the Smart TV and outdoor seating area - perfect for enjoying a lazy evening. The private bathrooms were spotless, with a bathtub or shower, hairdryer, and those comfy bathrobes again. Our extra large room had stunning pool views and a cozy seating area - we couldn't have asked for more!
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the shower in our room. It was a bit small for my liking, but I understand that others might still find it enjoyable.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the warm welcome and personal attention from our host Steve. The little touches like fresh flowers, chocolates, and a welcoming card made us feel truly special. The individually designed rooms were like cozy nests, with incredibly comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms complete with bathrobes. And let's not forget the dinner - personalized menus and silver service made the experience truly jaw-dropping. The location is a hidden gem, away from the typical tourist spots, but with easy access to the stunning Pohara Beach and other nearby attractions. We were absolutely thrilled with our stay and can't wait to come back year after year.

Flawless stay, just a hop to the beach! Loved the free brekkie, WiFi, and parking. The 10 accommodations were accessible and had all I needed. Nelson Airport was a bit far though.
Oh, so devastated that I couldn't have fish at the one and only restaurant. My gourmet dreams crushed.

Ratanui Lodge exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. Steve, the host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was welcoming and enjoyable. The amenities were fantastic, including the pool and the amazing shower. The food at the lodge was outstanding, and the location was perfect, just across from the beach.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes.

Delicious food and comfortable beds, along with a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, made for an enjoyable stay. The host was friendly and accommodating, and the special mattress cover added to the comfort of the bed. The location was convenient for exploring the nearby Abel Tasman National Park, and the lodge was within walking distance to the beach.
The lodge fell short in some aspects. The lack of accessibility for guests with limited mobility was a downside, as navigating the property was not easy.
